Welcome to Mammoth Elementary STEM School, a place of learning dedicated for children in grades pre-K through six. We are located in the San Pedro River Valley of Pinal County, Arizona, where we treasure our beautiful surroundings and scenic desert landscape. We prize our community’s involvement and attribute our school’s success to the parents, caretakers, and citizens who actively involve themselves in our children’s educational success.

Mammoth is a performing plus school that promotes a traditional learning environment, teaches character development, and integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math into every classroom for optimal and relevant learning experiences. No child is left behind at our school, and we have scores to prove it!

Mission Statement

Mammoth Elementary STEM School's mission statement is: To embrace the 21st century skills through project based learning by preparing students to be successful in the global community.

A Message from Our Principal

Happy Spring!

The month of March is here and full of fun and exciting events. We begin this month by continuing our celebration of Dr. Seuss. Throughout this week we have guest readers visiting each of our classes to read their favorite Dr. Seuss book. Our student council has planned a special dress-up day for Friday, March 2. Dress up the Seuss way! Wear your best Seuss wackiness or pj day outfits. Please remember that we do not consider slippers as shoes suitable for school, and all outfits must follow dress code in the student handbook (i.e. no face paint).

Our 3rd quarter ends on March 9 with parent-teacher conferences on March 15 and 16. We will have three early dismissal days in a row: March 14, 15, and 16. March 14 is a teacher in-service day, and March 15 and 16 are parent-teacher conferences. Your student’s teacher will be sending home conference notes soon. Please check backpacks daily. Both days of parent-teacher conferences will be early dismissal days at 11:25 a.m. Our spring break follows on March 19-23. School resumes on March 26.

We will be celebrating our students at our third quarter awards in our cafeteria on March 27 beginning at 2:00 p.m. The window for AzMERIT testing begins on April 3. All 3rd through 6th grade students will be taking the state assessment online.

This is the time of year when we all need to be proactive when it comes to the cold and flu season. We encourage students to wash hands, use hand sanitizers, and cover their mouths when they cough. These are all the ways to help keep our students healthy.

Keep the newsletter close and review the “Important Dates” often so you and your student are sure not to miss anything. Enjoy the month of March and the coming of spring.
