A Message from Our Principal

Greetings Parents and Guardians,

April is the month of accountability! During the month of April, we will be taking the AzMERIT. From April 1 through April 26 we will test our 3rd through 5th grade students in writing, reading, and math. It is very important that students attend all testing sessions to help us reach our goal of testing 100% of students. Teachers have shared in their newsletters the dates and times each class will be going to the computer lab for testing. Please make sure your student gets to bed early the day before testing and eats a good breakfast.

There will be early release on April 3, 10, 17, and 24 for teacher professional development. We will release students at 12:30 p.m. We will not have school on Friday, April 19 and on Monday, April 22. Please be sure and check the important dates section of the newsletter for other dates you don’t want to miss! I have also included some important dates for May.

Many of our students continue to set a personal goal of perfect attendance for the fourth quarter. All students who have perfect attendance for fourth quarter on the last day of school will take part in an ice cream party. What a great way to end the school year!

Sincerely,

Katy Wilkins
